
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A woman accused of hitting and critically injuring a South Dakota Highway Patrol trooper during a chase in Sioux Falls has pleaded not guilty to charges including attempted murder.
The Argus Leader reports (http://argusne.ws/Y3xKOI ) that 28-year-old Rachel Coleman is to stand trial in March. She faces up to 160 years in prison if convicted on all of the charges against her.
Authorities allege that Coleman hit Trooper Andrew Steen with her car on Oct. 17. She was apprehended after being shot at least three times by Steen and other officers.
Steen remains in critical condition in a Sioux Falls hospital.
