Driver, 86, dies in eastern Nebraska collision

STROMSBURG, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say an 86-year-old Stromsburg man has been killed in a collision with a semitrailer.

 

The Lincoln Journal Star reports (http://bit.ly/Pu0WWf) that the accident occurred about 3:30 p.m. Thursday in Stromsburg.

 

The Nebraska State Patrol says Donald Baker was driving his pickup south on U.S. Highway 81 when he turned in front of a northbound tractor-trailer driven by 67-year-old Donald Glazner, of Bridgewater, S.D.

 

The patrol says Baker died at the scene and that Glazner wasn't injured.

 

The accident is being investigated.
