SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A Sioux Falls man has been charged with raping a 6-year-old girl.
KSFY-TV reports (http://bit.ly/10DvUzX) that 30-year-old Christopher Hartford appeared in Minnehaha Count Court on Thursday. He is charged with first-degree rape, one count of sexual contact of a child under 16 and two counts of sexual exploitation.
Hartford's bond has been set at $250,000.
A police affidavit says that when asked about sex, the victim says Hartford "does it a lot" to her. She also told authorities that he would watch pornographic movies with her.
Authorities say the victim told a friend who then told a teacher.
When questioned by police, Hartford reportedly acknowledged the allegations.
Hartford faces up to life in prison if convicted.
